Join us for iiESI's first International Conference on Energy Systems Integration at the U.S. Department of Energy's National Renewable Energy Laboratory in Golden, Colorado on December 5–6, 2017.
This year's event will focus on the theme "Infrastructure for an Integrated Energy System," and will feature thought leaders from across the globe on topics that cover energy infrastructure as well as operational and market issues in the developed and developing world.
Energy systems integration is the process of coordinating the operation and planning of energy systems across multiple pathways and/or geographical scales to deliver reliable, cost-effective energy services with minimal impact on the environment. The goal of this event is to address such pathways—including electricity, thermal energy, and fuels—from engineering, scientific, policy, regulatory, market, and behavioral perspectives. Speakers will represent a balance of industry, academia, and policy.
Participating organizations include the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), the International Energy Agency (IEA), the Center for Energy Systems Integration (CESI), the European Energy Research Alliance Joint Programme (EEERA JP) and the Joint Research Centre - European Commission (JRC).
See a preliminary agenda for information on sessions and discussion topics.
In addition to the Ph.D. poster session, we will have an educational event on Monday afternoon, December 4, for Ph.D. students to attend. More information to come.
Please register online to reserve your place and learn more about the event.
A limited number of rooms are available for the group rate of $178 per night at the Denver West Marriot, December 3–7. Book your group rate for the International Conference on Energy Systems Integration here. The registration deadline for this group rate is November 7, 2017.
